Heritage events for communities and education involving horsedrawn canal boats
Offering a very rare service across the UK, we provide a taste of times gone with our horsedrawn canal boats.
Like the steam train, this was how barges used to travel before other forms of power took over. With four boats able to travel the length of the country, we will make someone's day memorable or lay on an event to remind us all of how things used to be. As you can see on the Horseboating Society website, many of these events have drawn real enthusiasm from local communities.
Our horsedrawn canal boats have taken part in numerous events:
- Manchester to London canal journey
- Trent and Mersey canal journey
- Wolverhampton locks for the 2008 IWA Festival
- South Pennine ring trek
- Leeds to London canal journey, planned for 2012
We are also members of the British Horse Society and the British Carriage Driving Society and have dedicated our lives to our passion.
